From Early Intervention in Psychosis to Youth Mental Health Service Transformation: A Reality Check
Professor Ashok Malla will draw on his extensive experience in delivering and evaluating Early Intervention Services for people with psychosis in Canada and India. He will give a brief overview of the historical development of Early Intervention Services, identifying both the benefits and gaps. He will then connect these developments to attempts to transform Youth Mental Health services, drawing on his own experience from the ACCESS Open Minds programme. He will conclude with identifying some risks, especially of overselling recent developments.
